Over the last few years there has been ample reason to be bearish on Sears Holdings(SHLD). After all, the company has floundered under the control of hedge fund manager Eddie Lampert, under-investing in stores, and sales and profits have
plummeted. The company has taken to breaking up into various pieces and closing stores- a sad fate for a onetime American icon. On Saturday night, however, one bear took matters too far, forcing the evacuation of the Sears store at the Pittsburgh Mills Mall. After a two hour standoff with police and store officials, the bear was tranquilized and relocated by game officials. Hopefully, the Bulls won’t choose to make a run of their own on the stores in response.
